You are 100% on the ball. That is why I installed gauges(Pyro, boost FP) in my Burb even though it's 100% stock. All the 6.5TDs I have used to tow I immediatly put tunes on, TM's on Cooling upgrades etc and then had issues with egts and had no baseline for comparison. Now with my Burb I have a...
I wouldn't say that exactly. Yes he is a businessman but he had recommended to me if I wanted to try something above a GM8 try a Holset. I have yet to get misinformation from him. Gotten plenty off boards over the years though. I personally think my GM8 works fine the way it is with the working...
To add to that...It nice to know you have someone you can call when you can't figure something out and will stay with you until it's figured out. Sometimes it's worth spending money to support someone like that. Imagine a 6.5 world with no Bill Heath....
Actually It came pouring out the front when I took mine apart. I had pulled it apart to salvage the sol as it was good and I had a fried one handy and the starter was being turned in as a core.

GM probably doesn't make them anymore but last I priced them it was like 400$ for the fuel lines on the chassis. I changed all mine over to Pushlok. I use Pushlok for Feed the beast now too. When Tim posted FTB over at DP originally I was like the 2nd or 3rd person to do it but IT WAS MY...
I have always used Sears Die Easys with good luck. They are cheap, work good and can be returned with ease. Think there was a batt thread here somewhere. I personally do not like Interstate. Every set that I ever had they failed prematurely.
I don't know if the stuff's really any better but I know years ago if a system came into my father's shop with tracer dye, he sent them somewhere else. We were an Authorized Mark IV , Coleman and Doutherm installer and service shop.
Pop the nose off the starter when you take it out and see if a mountain of black crud falls out That will be your brushes if the starter is shot. The disc in the sol could be bad as well. Can't flip em on these like the big MT's
There is a guy on ebay peddling Chinese knockoff Hx40s with a T3. I don't know how good the quality is though..I would not wanna be a guinea pig..The only diesel that I know of that was supercharged was 2 stroke Detriots and it was not done for boost but more so theory of operation. They had no...
I was emailing back and forth with Steph from engh Motors. For those unfamiliar he makes the best , most user friendly software specifically written for the 6.5 TD I have ever seen. I don't think I know anyone who has it and does not like it. He said he never followed through with an OBD2...
The cycle switch is most likely a chinese knockoff and bad. I had this problem a few times. I only use GM factory ones. Use the vin from the truck. There are a few different ones. Low freon will not cause it to freeze up. That happens on Home/residential units. ON these the switch will make it...
