I emailed the vendor from bay and explained the problem and they said the power supply is bad. They are shipping out a replacement as we speak..
Not bad service.
Tim,
Thanks for your help and suggestions.

OK, I don't know why but with the new power supply it works fine when running the laptop but it won't maintain the battery when the lid is closed. Went back to the old power supply with the patched up power cord and it's working like it's supposed too now.
Will check with the new power supply...
Tim,
Anytime I am using the laptop, it runs off of the power supply, when I close the lid, it runs off of the batteries.
Pepp called and we set it like his is and it's still doing the same thing.
I'm going to play with the settings some more.

I have an Acer laptop and it's been a good computer. I fooled around with some power settings and got a new power supply because my old one had a loose wire and now when I close the lid it runs off of the battery.
As soon as I open it up, it will run off of the power supply again and...
Only once. I was on a freshly graded dam for a pond that was being built and it was sloppy as he**. Had to get a dozer to pull it back up the hill. It kept wanting to slide down the hill and not go back up. Slicker than eel crap!
Jayco makes some nice 5er's.
As far as the drive goes, think about if you ever need service and having to return to the dealer, how far would you want to go?
They'll tell you that local dealers (if any) will do the work but that is B.S.....they only want to service what they sell. To save a...
Sorry to hear that.
I hard wired in a Progressive Industries 50 amp surge protector W/monitor to hopefully prevent this type of thing from happening. I can monitor volts, amps, hertz, load, etc..from inside the RV now.
About $350 from Tweety's.com.
Was the white smoke coming out of the exhaust?
If it's out of the exhaust, you blowing pressure into the crankcase under a load.
What type engine on the generator? Briggs?
If so, it could possibly be a head gasket (most likely) or maybe valve cover (unlikely). I know this may sound off...
Welcome to the site.
I work in Reserve but live in Brusly (across from BR).
Tyler graduated last week from HS and I'm looking at paying for college also. He's going to LSU...where are you planning on going to college and for what?
I always empty the black first and flush it and then empty the grey so that it helps clean the hose.
I leave the grey closed until I'm ready to drain so that odors don't back up into the RV. I used to leave the grey open and had odors once and it took me a while to find the source.
Hope...
Head west on Hwy 22 just south of Gonzales. Turn left on Hwy 70 and cross the Sunshine Bridge. Once over the sunshine Bridge, head west towards Belle River and they will be signs pointing the way. Not but about 15 - 20 mins. from I-10 IIRC.
Not sure if I'll be able to make it yet. Tyler is...
My 5er stays under a cover on concrete and plugged in anytime we're not using it. I'm in the process of forming and pouring a new slab to move the cover and it'll have full hook-ups anytime it's at home.
Don't hang out in it much during the day and haven't stayed in it overnight at home yet...
With the exception of liking Fords, you sound like a young man with his head on almost straight......:D
