I posted this up on another forum and figured I'd post it here too...

I ran into this gentleman at a local offroad shop and he was pissed...He light tab broke right off his ROAD ARMOR bumper...he didn't hit anything, nothing pushed the light tab....We looked and the weld didn't even penetrate the metal, it was barely held on...what kind of workmanship is that?

Anyway, RA told him to pay for shipping there and back and they'd fix it...PAY FOR SHIPPING...to fix their F-up...C'mon now, what kind of customer service is that?

We fixed it for him no charge....needless to say, he is selling this truck in a few months and has already placed an order for one of our bumpers...customer service goes a long way...

oh yeah...and like I mentioned in the other thread about how they don't follow the body lines...look at these gaps and so on....how can this be classified as "custom made to fit the lines of the truck" like they say?

I have to agree DR, at this point in my life, it is all about quality and how well I get taken care of, rather than just getting something there.

Nice job in taking care of that guy. You now have a customer for life, plus everyone that he talks to.

You know the only thing I don't like about doing something nice for people....

If you "F" someone over, the statistics say that that person will tell 10 people, who will tell 10 people and so on....

If you do something great for someone, statistics say they will tell 2-3 people who will tell 1-2 people

So word of mouth travels fast if its bad news and slowly if its good news....so I just have to make customers happy one at a time and hope that I have a chance to make their 2-3 friends happy too.... ya know?

Simply put 1-Awww-sh#t takes away 10,000 ata boy's lol.So true though although you remember the good and appreciate it the bad just seems to stick to you like tar.Maybe because we expect good products and service as that's what we pay for.But many go the extra mile like yourself and believe me I for one am very loyal to those that take care of me.

Thats what I do like to hear....Its all about loyalties...and we have built the company on those principles...we will do whatever we can (to a point) to make the customers happy.

the unfortunate thing is that just like any business, there is no way to make everyone happy, and that kind of sucks....

That stat is why when I get good service I try to let everyone where they are so they get more BIZ. There is a local shop and a few dealers around here that are deffinitly on my "GOOD" list.

no, if you had fixed my bumper when it wasn't even one you sold, a lot more than 2-3 people would know.

that shit goes A LONG way with me (and guys like me on this board)

that's why a vendor feedback section is important

I would gladly pay more for good customer service than find a good price and get 0.shit in return. Stuff like this goes a long way in my book. :)
