    Why bother? lol

If anything tests ones resolve, it's the nagging thought of a resolution!

Not to get too far off topic, ever notice how the gym gets REAL crowded in January then after that back to the 'regulars'? It happens every year!

Why bother, either you can do what you set out to do, or not. A change of a calendar date makes no difference IMO.

Start drinking by 3 instead of 4 and smoke more cigars...

Helps when your yr starts like mine. It can only get better.

I quit a 35 year habit last July, my choice.

If I want to start something new, I start in the beginning of December, so it's already a habit by the time January 1 gets here. For example, I started an exercise program over three years ago and I've stuck with it, by choice.

I gave up chewing and dipping in 1989 after about eleven years of heavy chewing.

I must say it was one of the hardest things I ever gave up, I went through nicotine withdrawal for a period of time.

Heck there were even times I would dream at night that I had started chewing again.
