When I swapped my NV4500 in, I gravity bled it.

Here is the procedure from my 99's service manual.

    Clutch System Bleeding

Important: Never use fluid that you have bled from a system to fill the reservoir. The fluid may be aerated or contaminated.

    1. Fill the reservoir with new brake fluid. Use Delco Supreme Brake Fluid (GM P/N 1052535) or equivalent.
    2. Raise the vehicle.
    3. Depress the clutch pedal (hold the pedal down).
    4. Open the bleed screw on the concentric slave cylinder in order to expel the air.
    5. Close the bleed screw then release the clutch pedal. Important: Ensure no air is drawn into the clutch system.

    6. Repeat steps 2, 3, and 4 until all the air is out of the clutch system.
6.1. Check and refill the reservoir as needed while bleeding.
6.2. After bleeding, pump the clutch pedal several times. If the clutch engagement is not satisfactory, repeat the bleeding procedure.

    7. If the previous procedures are unsuccessful, perform the following steps.
    7.1. Remove the reservoir cap.
7.2. Pump the clutch pedal very fast for 30 seconds.
7.3. Stop pumping and let the air escape.
7.4. Repeat this procedure as necessary.

well, I popped the plunger out of a brand new slave. Apparently the rod missed the fork upon install. I shoved it back in. Guess I'll see if it's ok.

2 Hours? You must have pumped the pedal, bleed, then drink a beer and repeat as necessary to make it last 2 hours.

When i bled the slave in the K-5 i actually pushed the slave cylinder a few times with the cap off the master cyl reservoir. This forced the air up and it bubbled out of the reservoir.

Gravity bleed also works, as does vacuum bleeding at the slave(if you put Teflon tape on the bleeder threads that is).

Do you have a bleeder screw? The 94 does not. What crap. We need to check and see if a fitting with a bleeder can be added.

Does anybody know anything about the allen screw in the slave? As far as what would be needed to remove it and install a bleeder?

I do not remember what we did to finish bleeding. We did a combination of gravity and pumping.

On my old 89 I just hooked a pump to the bleeder and filled the reservior. I was good to go in no time.
